The room was cute and comfortable, with incredible views and an amazing bathroom. The design of everything is top notch. Breakfast was simple, but incredible and impeccably executed. I'm still thinking about the toast. And the bar downstairs is perfect. The owner was accommodating and just generally lovely. Highly recommend.

We booked three rooms together for getting ready on my wedding day with friends etc. It included breakfast, which was supposed to be brought to the room. At 09.30 we were all starving so I had to run downstairs and bring some of breakfast, up all the winding stairs myself. Also breakfast wasn't great. We had stale soda bread, sour berries and yoghurt and muesli, which was not particularly nice. I also assumed we'd be provided with a few mors glasses for the family and friends who arrived but that didn't happen. The rooms are lovely, really nice but service was not great, and on the stairs you could hear staff shouting, swearing and arguing. On our return at night after getting married, we arrived back at the room, expecting a congragulations card or message but thers was nothing. Whereas when our mini-break honeymoon hotel in Oban found out we were just married, they gave us a cars and glasses and prosecco etc. On our checkout we didn't see anybody and the whole stay actually felt quite impersonal and disappointing.

What a lovely hotel. Stayed for 1 night as we were going to a gig at the barony hall as part of the Celtic connections festival which was literally on the opposite side of the cathedral square. The room was immaculate and very beautiful. Had great views of the cathedral and over huge parts of Glasgow from the bedroom windows. We had breakfast in the restaurant (celentanos) wise was excellent. All ingredients were fresh and so delicious. My partner had forgotten to bring the charger for her iPhone and the phone was running low on charge but Laura came to the rescue by giving us( borrow) her phone charger to allow the phone to get a decent charge to last the rest of our trip. Highly recommend staying here, great location and will stay again.
